It looks like the best import race for the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup is down to Barangay Ginebra’s Justin Brownlee and TNT’s Terrence Jones.
Through the quarterfinals, Brownlee, the league’s reigning top reinforcement, has a slight edge over Jones with an average of 61.8 statistical points built around averages of 34.2 points, 13.5 rebounds, 5.7 assists, 2.6 steals, and 1.9 blocks.
Jones is coming in hot at second with 32.8 points, 15.8 rebounds, 7.4 assists, 1.3 steals, and 2.9 blocks per game for an average 60.2 SPs.
Both players are matched up in the PBA semifinals, with Jones taking an early lead after he led the KaTropa to a 95-92 Game 1 win over the champion Gin Kings on Friday.
In third place is San Miguel Beer’s Chris McCullough with 53.8 SPs while Columbian’s Lester Prosper is fourth with 52.7 SPs. Alaska’s Diamon Simpson completes the top-5 with 50.5 SPs.
