The 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup playoffs is finally set.
Alaska got the 8th and final spot Friday, scoring a gutsy 108-103 overtime win over Meralco at the MOA Arena.
The Aces needed the heroics of guard Chris Banchero, who buried two clutch jumpers late, to force OT. Once in extra time, Alaska continued with its momentum to fully shut the Bolts down.
Alaska’s prize in winning this tough game is a Sunday meeting against top seed TNT. The KaTropa hold a twice-to-beat advantage and also enter the quarterfinals with an eight-game winning streak.
