MANILA, Philippines -- (2ND UPDATE) Olympic-bound Filipino boxer Eumir Felix Marcial has officially signed with Manny Pacquiao's MP Promotions.

Marcial signed a six-year contract with MP Promotions, but the 24-year-old remains committed to fighting for the Philippines, particularly in the Tokyo Olympics next year.

Marcial qualified for the Tokyo Olympics in March, ruling the middleweight division in the Asia and Oceania Olympic qualifying tournament in Amman, Jordan. He has also won three gold medals in the Southeast Asian Games, and a bronze at the Asian Games in 2018.

The boxer has received an assurance from MP Promotions that they will support him in his drive to represent the Philippines.

Before signing with MP Promotions, Marcial was courted by several boxing managers, including Shelly Finkel. However, he has previously said that he believes MP Promotions is the best place for him, due in part to Pacquiao's guidance.
