MPBL: Jeric Teng big game keys first win for Pasig

Jeric Teng scored a game-high 25 points while lifting the Pasig-Sta. Lucia Realtors past the Caloocan Supremos-Victory Liner 89-87 in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) Lakan Cup at Valenzuela Astrodome on Wednesday.

Teng scored 12 of his total output in the second quarter when the Realtors took control of the game 45-32.

Josan Nimes chipped in 16 points, while Jeric Serrano and Robbie Manalang combined for 26 to assure Pasig’s first victory.

In the other games, Basilan Steel needed overtime to fight off Pampanga Giant Lanterns, while Valenzuela SPV TOP Marketplace beat Bataan Risers also via extension.

The Steel shackled the Giant Lanterns in overtime as they walked away with an 83-74 win for a 2-2 record.

Valenzuela, on the other hand, fought from 15 points down to grind out a 92-86 victory over Bataan.
