Ray Parks Jr. came up with a new career high of 29 points in leading Blackwater past struggling NLEX 132-106 in the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup at Ynares Center-Antipolo on Saturday.

The Elite looked virtually unstoppable, with 4 other players each contributing in double digit scoring.

Parks connected on 13 out of 23 attempts from the field while picking up 4 rebounds and 5 assists.

Allein Maliksi also had a productive night for Blackwater, coming off the bench to tally 21 points and backing up Alex Stepheson (21 points, 17 rebounds).

After trailing by 53-63 in the first half, NLEX appeared on the verge of getting its first tournament victory by reeling off 10 points in a row on Cyrus Baguio’s lead, tying the count 63-all.

But Blackwater quelled the uprising by coming up with a run of its own, as the Road Warriors never recovered.

Tony Mitchell had 27 points for NLEX, while Baguio finished with 19.

The Elite improved to 5-1, while the Road Warriors dropped to 0-4.
