University of the Philippines (UP) star Ricci Rivero marked his 22nd birthday by launching his own YouTube channel.
Rivero's "Playground" went online on Monday, and quickly amassed over 8,000 followers. He posted his first video where he celebrated his birthday together with fans shortly after.
"It took a while before I decided to enter YouTube, because I know it will require so much commitment from me once I jump in it," Rivero explained.
"The past years, I won't be able to really spend time shooting weekly and editing. But now, it's game time," he added. "I wanted to give back to my supporters and join me on my virtual playground in the absence of sporting events caused by this pandemic."
"On this channel, we would still be able to interact more and play more."
For his first video, Rivero celebrated his birthday with a couple of fans, with the former De La Salle University standout calling it "one of the most meaningful celebrations" in his life.
Making appearances in his video are his brothers, Prince, Rasheed and Gelo, as well as his parents, Paolo and Abi. The Riveros are currently in their hometown of Isabela, where they have been spending the past couple of months due to the lockdown.
