All-Filipino Dota 2 team TNC Predator will represent Southeast Asia in the ESL One Birmingham tournament in England after emerging as champions in regional qualifying.
TNC Pro clobbered Asia-Pacific squad Mineski 3-0 in a best-of-five finals held Friday.
The Filipino group consists of Kim "Gabbi" Villafuerte, Armel Paul "Armel" Tabios, Carlo "Kuku” Palad, Timothy "Tims" Randrup, Nico "eyyou" Barcelon.
TNC exploited a one-game advantage for being undefeated in the playoff round, raking in quick kills minutes after the start of its first match and dominating, 30-3.
It was the same narrative for the second round, with TNC farming impressively to power up its team and get kills off Mineski's heroes.
Mineski found it difficult to get kills off TNC Predator, which kept Mineski at bay with at least three to four kills per round.
TNC Predator cemented its reputation as one of the biggest DOTA 2 teams in Southeast Asia, having recently won the Dota 2 tournament in the World Electronic Sports Games (WESG) last March 9.
The All-Filipino Dota 2 team bested three other teams -- including Mineski -- to break through the final round.
TNC Predator will face various DOTA 2 teams from around the world in the ESL One Birmingham proper, to be held June 2.
The Philippines' TNC Predator was crowned champion once again in the Dota 2 tournament of the recent World Electronic Sports Games (WESG) 2018 in Chongqing, China.
