PBA: Consistent Pogoy helps TNT prevail over Alaska

(UPDATED) Roger Pogoy scored 24 points including 5 triples to deliver TNT KaTropa to a dominant 92-78 victory over Alaska in the PBA Philippine cup at the Cuneta Astrodome.

With the victory, the Texters, who limited the Aces to just 31 percent field goal shooting, stretched their winning run to 4 games and improve to 6-3. 

They are now tied with idle San Miguel at the third spot in the standings.

Troy Rosario added 15 points for TNT, which also got 11 rebounds and 9 assists from Kelly Williams.

TNT had complete control of the game, zooming to an 11-2 lead in the first quarter before widening the gap by 20 points.

Carl Bryan Cruz paced Alaska with 19 points, while Jeron Teng had to settle for 9. 

The Aces fell to 3-5 and is now at the risk of getting booted out of the playoffs race.
