MANILA -- Paul Lee is glad to see the Magnolia Hotshots finally getting their rhythm as they make their push for the PBA Philippine Cup playoffs.
The Hotshots blew past the Columbian Dyip, 109-83, on Wednesday, serving as a perfect springboard toward their Manila Clasico clash against Barangay Ginebra this Sunday.
"Good for us na we're peaking at the right time," Lee told the PBA website. "Hopefully, huwag maputol 'yung streak namin dito. We need to keep working hard."
It was Magnolia’s first winning streak after a poor 0-3 start, which pushed the Hotshots up to the seventh spot in the team standings.
But Lee said they have to continue building their momentum or all their efforts will be flushed down the drain.
"It's gonna be a good battle. Siyempre feeling ko gusto nila bumawi. Lagi ko sinasabi, kailangan lang namin maging ready. Gusto namin na tumaas standing namin, so kailangan ready kami," said Lee.
"Lagi kami nire-remind na lahat ng panalo namin balewala kung matatalo kami sa Sunday. We need to be ready."
