Expect Magnolia and Columbian to go all out when they clash in the PBA Philippine Cup at the Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday.
They will be featured in the 4:30 p.m. curtain raiser, followed by the 7 p.m. main game between NLEX and Alaska.
The match will be crucial for both squads. Magnolia (2-4) is looking for its third win to fight its way into the top 8 teams that will advance to the playoffs. It is the same for Columbian (2-7) which is looking for its first back-to-back victories this season.
"It's another playoff game for us. We have considered every game na do or die na sa amin because of our situation," said Magnolia coach Chito Victolero in the PBA website.
"But I think iyung mga players ko naman they embraced iyung challenges, eh. We're starting to get our rhythm and our defensive mindset."
Dyip coach Johnedel Cardel believes his charges will need to learn to close out games.
"Ang sabi ko nga, every quarter we have to fight, play defense," said Cardel. "Especially in the fourth quarter, to give the team a chance to win."
Meanwhile, NLEX will also be fighting for its life when it faces Alaska (3-3).
At 2-5 the Road Warriors are in the verge of getting eliminated from the playoffs race.
