PBA: Magnolia romps past struggling Alaska

(UPDATED) Magnolia demolished Alaska in the PBA Philippine Cup on Saturday, 103-86, at the Ynares Center in Antipolo to rack a second victory and boost its playoff hopes.

Ian Sangalang had 24 points to go with 14 rebounds and 3 assists.

Playing with more urgency following an 89-87 loss to Phoenix last Wednesday, the Hotshots took advantage of a short-handed Aces side.

The Hotshots dictated the pace starting in the second quarter. They led by as much as 21 points and never looked back.

Paul Lee finished with 20 points while Mark Barroca added 19.

Chris Banchero paced Alaska with 26 points, while Jeron Teng tallied 17.

Magnolia now has a 2-4 record while Alaska fell to 3-3.
