(UPDATED) Mangolia finally got over the hump and clinched a victory in the PBA Philippine Cup by defeating Meralco, 92-86, at the Xavier U Gym in Cagayan de Oro on Saturday.

Cagayan de Oro's very own Jio Jalalon paced the Hotshots with 19 points, including a couple of dagger threes in the fourth quarter. He also tallied 9 rebounds and 4 assists.

The Hotshots had to limit the Bots to just 13 points in the final quarter to arrest a 3-game slide.

Magnolia got 15 and 11 points respectively from Paul Lee and Mark Barroca, who recently returned from national duty.

It was Magnolia's first victory in 4 games.

Meralco, which got 22 points from Chris Newsome, fell to 2-5.
