Filipino boxing champion Vic "Vicious" Saludar successfully defended his WBO world minimumweight title by dominating his Japanese challenger Tuesday night in Tokyo, Japan.
According to Philboxing, Saludar won via unanimous decision against Masataka Taniguchi at the Korakuen Hall.
One of the judges saw it 118-110, while the other 2 judges saw it 117-111 all in favor of Saludar.
It was Saludar's first title defense since winning the crown from Ryuya Yamanaka of Japan in July 2018.
Saludar, one of the current handful Filipino boxing champions that include Manny Pacquiao, Nonito Donaire Jr., Jerwin Ancajas, and Donnie Nietes, improved his record to 19 wins and 3 losses with 10 knockouts.
