MANILA – A commercial center in Taguig paid tribute to basketball star Kobe Bryant on Monday, hours after he died in a helicopter crash in California.
Uptown Bonifacio’s buildings glowed purple and gold in honor of Bryant, a Los Angeles Lakers icon, as seen in the photos below:
“Uptown Bonifacio pays tribute to Kobe Bryant, who also touched and inspired so many lives when he visited the Philippines for several occasions,” Uptown Bonifacio said in a statement to ABS-CBN News.
Bryant died with several others onboard, including his daughter, Gianna, after their helicopter crashed in a remote field northwest of Los Angeles.
His fans and friends across the globe, including prominent personalities in sports and entertainment, took to social media to mourn his death.
