PJ Ramos scored 25 points, and San Miguel Alab Pilipinas avenged their early season loss to Westports Malaysia Dragons with an 85-47 win in the ASEAN Basketball League in Laguna on Friday.

The win at Santa Rosa Multi Purpose Sports Complex upped Alab's record to 9-2 to stay first in the standings, while Dragons fell to 5-6.

Westports dealt coach Jimmy Alapag and co. their first loss of the season, a 72-71 result in Kuala Lumpur on January 9 made possible by Jonathan Wong's game-winner.

With Alab enjoying home-court advantage, the rematch was decided as early as the third quarter when the Filipino club held a lead as massive as 30 points.

Renaldo Balkman contributed 13 points, while Ramos also registered 11 rebounds.

Alab finished the first quarter up by 8, then limited the visitors to just 3 buckets in the second for a 37-20 halftime lead. The hosts then scored 13 unanswered to begin the third to pull away.

Dragons reinforcement Winston Shepard was limited to 12 points, making only 4 of 21 attempts from the floor.

Wong, hero of the two team's first meeting, settled for just 5 points.
