MANILA, Philippines – De La Salle-College of St. Benilde (CSB) and Arellano University will put their perfect records on the line against separate foes on Thursday in the NCAA Season 95 women's volleyball tournament at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The Lady Chiefs will clash against Jose Rizal University (JRU) at 12 noon, while the Lady Blazers take on Emilio Aguinaldo College at 2 p.m.

CSB holds the league's best record at 3-0, while Arellano is tied with San Beda University with identical 2-0 records.

With a stacked field in the NCAA this year, the Lady Chiefs are looking for ways to elevate their game further.

"Tamang practice ang kailangan talaga. Isang pagkakamali lang, puwede kang malagay sa alanganin," said Arellano mentor Obet Javier.

The Lady Blazers are favored over the Lady Generals, who at 0-2 are simply trying to avoid falling to a three-way tie at the league cellar.

Idle squads Lyceum of the Philippines University and San Sebastian College are tied at last place with their 0-3 records.

Regine Arocha has been leading the scoring in the first two matches for the Lady Chiefs, while setter Sarah Verutiao has been doing solid playmaking.

Dolly Verzosa, middle blockers Riza Rose and Sidney Niegos will lead JRU as it tries to regain its winning ways. The Lady Bombers lost in five sets to the Lady Red Spikers earlier in the week.
