PBA: Brownlee, nababahala sa mahabang break bago mag-finals

Kailangang mag-focus ni Justin Brownlee at ng Gin Kings para malagpasan ang kalawang ng Christmas break. PBA Media Bureau


Aminado si Justin Brownlee na na-frustrate siya noong nakaraang season kung saan na-eliminate sila ng Magnolia sa semifinals ng PBA Governors Cup.

Kaya naman ngayon, mataas ang kanyang motivation para igiyang muli ang Barangay Ginebra sa kampeonato laban sa isang koponang pamilyar na sa kanila.

Nakaharap at natalo na ng Gin Kings ang Meralco Bolts noong 2016 at 2017 Governors Cup finals. Hiling niya na sana ay makatatlo sila.

"It's feels good to be in the finals, but we know that at this point we're not satisfied. And we want to feel that greatest feeling," ani Brownlee sa PBA.ph

"We've met them in the finals twice already so we know that if we play them, they're going to be great as well."

Ang isang concern lang para sa Ginebra import ay ang mahabang break bago magsimula ang finals.

Napilitang magpahinga nang dalawang linggo ang liga dahil sa 30th SEA Games. Nasundan pa ito ng dalawang linggong holiday break pagkaraan ng semifinals.

"It's kind of tricky because you don't want to get out of shape too much and you want to stay focus and locked in, it's the finals," ani Brownlee. "I don't think we ever have done this, had an extended break in the semis and now in the finals.”

"So we just want to try to stay focus and not lose the mentality that we have right now."
