India joins space race

Students wave Indian national flags as the Indian Space Research Organisation's (ISRO) Chandrayaan-2 (Moon Chariot 2), on board the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle, launches for the Moon from Sriharikota in the state of Andhra Pradesh on Monday. India's efforts to put a craft on the surface of the Moon, only the fourth country after the United States, Russia and China, is part of its plan to become a leading space power.
