A high school teacher in West Allis, Wisconsin was charged last week with 2 counts of human trafficking and second-degree sexual assault for allegedly maltreating a Filipina whom he met on a dating site.

The Filipina and her son were earlier rescued by US authorities.

According to the criminal complaint obtained by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the victim met the suspect, 46-year-old Christian Mothershead in June 2017 through a dating site.

Mothershead is a Mandarin Chinese teacher at Alexander Hamilton High School. He was released on bail Tuesday and faces up to 90 years in prison if convicted.

In a report over WTMJ, the suspect denied the charges.

"I did none of these things. They're all lies," he said.

The Filipina and her son flew to the US in November 2018. Mothershead promised to marry her and send her son to school.

Instead, they were forced to clean Mothershead's house or they will be sent back to the Philippines.

The victims were not allowed to drink water or watch television without cleaning first and had to cook breakfast for Mothershead and his son.

On one occasion, she was allegedly sexually assaulted by Mothershead.

The suspect also prevented her from taking her son to the doctor when the child had fever.
