MANILA—Two female overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) returned to the Philippines Tuesday night after they were deported from Israel.

The 2 Filipinas, together with an Israeli-born teenage boy, arrived at the terminal 2 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on board a Philippine Airlines flight 737.

Both worked as caregivers for more than 15 years before they were arrested and deported from the Jewish state after their visas expired.

They are among some 600 workers from the Philippines, who activists say, could face deportation over a loss of residency status.

They include those who breached the conditions of their residency by starting families in Israel.
