MANILA - The Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Monday reiterated its call for patience and restraint amid the ongoing tension in parts of Saudi Arabia.
In a statement, the DFA condemned the second attack on Abha International Airport on June 23.
It also also expressed sympathies to the family of the single fatality in the attack.
"In view of the continuous rise in tensions within the region, the Philippine government once again reiterates its call to all parties to exercise calm, patience and restraint, and resolve differences through peaceful dialogue and consultations to prevent further regrettable incidents from occurring," the statement said.
One person was killed while seven others were wounded in the second attack launched by Yemeni Houthi rebels on the airport, an Al Jazeera report said.
This came less than two weeks after the June 12 missile strike which hit the same airport, wounding 26 civilians.
