LAS VEGAS, Nevada – A man suspected of killing his Filipina girlfriend and leaving her body on a city sidewalk pleaded not guilty on Friday.
Willie Bain, 42, pleaded not guilty to open murder with deadly weapon before the District Court of Nevada.
Bain is accused in the February homicide of his long-time girlfriend, 42-year old Crystal Lyn Felipe, who died of multiple blunt force injuries to the head.
In a police report obtained by Balitang America, Bain called 911 from a casino parking lot saying that he was in an argument with Felipe, that he beat her, and didn’t know if she was alive.
The report added that Bain took out Felipe’s body from the family's SUV and put it on a sidewalk. A hammer with blood was recovered from the SUV.
Bain told police that Felipe was cheating on him.
He stays in jail with no bail set as he awaits trial in August of this year.
