MANILA--The Department of Foreign Affairs on Sunday said 3 more Filipinos overseas were diagnosed with the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
This raises the total number of Filipinos infected abroad to 654.
The DFA also said there are no new deaths and recoveries among COVID-19 infected Filipinos abroad.
The total number of deaths is still at 84, with 188 recoveries.
According to the DFA, 40 countries or regions worldwide have recorded Filipinos infected with COVID-19.
The Asia-Pacific region has the most number of Filipino coronavirus patients at 226, followed by Europe with 220 cases.
The Americas also have 125 Filipino COVID-19 patients while the Middle East has 80.
More than 1.6 million people have been infected with the disease as of April 12, according to the World Health Organization.
