Bayan calls for PNP Chief Albayalde’s resignation

Members of the Bagong Alyansang Makabayan stage a picket in front of the Philippine National Police headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City on Friday, to demand the resignation of PNP Chief Oscar Albayalde for allegedly benefiting from a drug raid in 2013. Local government workers gather dead fish for disposal after being washed overnight along the coastline at the reclaimed "Freedom Island,” Friday, in Las Pinas. Authorities are investigating the cause of thousands of dead fish which were found floating along the coastline of Las Pinas and Paranaque. Hagibis nears

A man walks with a dog as surging waves hit the breakwater at a port in the town of Kiho, in Japan Friday. The Department of Foreign Affairs urged Filipinos in Japan to avoid areas that could be hit by heavy rains and strong winds as typhoon Hagibis, packing maximum gusts of 216 kilometers per hour, advances towards the Tokyo area and is expected to make landfall on Saturday. Remembering Jennifer
