Hundreds ride MRT-3 for free

Student passengers continue to avail of the free ride during its morning window period offered by the MRT-3 at the North Avenue station in Quezon City on Tuesday. At least 669 students availed of the free service on its first day of implementation, according to the Transportation department. Students from nursery up to college, excluding graduate students, and students taking vocational courses can avail of free rides at the MRT-3, LRT-2, and PNR, during weekdays at a certain period in the morning and afternoon. Abu Sayyaf suspects

Members of the NBI-Counter Terrorism Division (NBI-CTD) present two arrested members of the Abu Sayyaf Group to the media on Tuesday. Ibno Ismael alias Abu Kodano worked as a construction worker in Maharlika village in Taguig City while Totoni Hairon alias Ismael Faisal Saral worked as a security guard at the Port Area in Manila, according to authorities. Maranaos slam alleged election fraud in Lanao Del Sur

Maranaos from Lanao del Sur and Marawi City stage a protest in front of the Commission on Election headquarters in Intramuros, Manila on Tuesday. Protesters appealed to the COMELEC to declare failure of election in said provinces because of alleged massive vote buying and electoral fraud during the recently held elections.
