Several flights canceled due to Usman

MANILA (2nd UPDATE)—Several flights were cancelled early Saturday morning as bad weather persisted in different parts of the country an hour after tropical depression "Usman" weakened into a low pressure area (LPA).

According to the Manila International Airport Authority, the following flights have been cancelled.

Usman made landfall in Eastern Samar around 6 a.m. Saturday and has since been downgraded into an LPA.

It was last spotted in the vicinity of Llorente town, Eastern Samar around 7 a.m, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

All tropical cyclone warning signals have been lifted but moderate to heavy rains are still expected over CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol and Aurora, PAGASA said.
