MANILA - The consistent "very good" satisfaction ratings of President Rodrigo Duterte as chief executive belie the criticisms of human rights groups and foreign governments, Malacañang said Friday.

Presidential spokesperson Salvador Panelo issued the statement after Duterte's latest rating went up to a "very good" +60 from his "very good" +54 rating in September in the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey.

"The support of the Filipinos for our Chief Executive also sends a strong message to foreign human rights groups and foreign governments to put a stop to their baseless and unkind accusations on his war on drugs," he said.

"In addition, the survey result is a slap on their faces for their outrageous intrusion on the sovereignty of our country."

Panelo thanked Duterte's supporters who "[motivate] us to unceasingly work harder and serve them better as we aim for the best for the Philippines and its people."

Duterte has repeatedly slammed human rights groups and foreign bodies for their criticisms on his anti-illegal drugs campaign.

The Duterte administration has several times denied involvement in summary killings, saying drug suspects slain in police anti-drug operations had put up violent resistance.
