USLS, UP Visayas grads top chemical engineer board exams

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Wednesday that 627 out of 942 examinees passed the Chemical Engineer Licensure Examination given this month.

John Cyril Pastrana Claur of the University of Saint La Salle in Bacolod City, and Jared Philip Marquez Condez of University of the Philippines Visayas in Iloilo City, tied at first place with a rating of 84.60%.

Wilmark Talidon Palacios (Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod City) and Dave Ersan Ramos (University of the Philippines Diliman) both placed second with a rating of 83.90%.

John Rave Burata Magalang of University of Santo Tomas placed third with a rating of 83.70%.

UP Diliman topped all schools with a 98.77% passing rate.
