MANILA - A 4.2-magnitude earthquake jolted Davao Oriental Tuesday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The tectonic tremor struck at 3:00 p.m. at about 9 kilometers northwest of Lupon town with a depth of 32 kilometers.
It was felt at intensity 3 in Davao City.
Instrumental intensities were also recorded:
- Intensity II- Davao City
- Intensity I- Kidapawan City
Phivolcs said no damage nor aftershocks are expected.
On Monday night, a magnitude 5.9 earthquake hit Kadingilan town in Bukidnon. It was felt at different intensities in different parts of Mindanao.
In October, a string of powerful temblors struck parts of Mindanao, leaving several dead, dozens hurt, and houses and buildings destroyed or damaged.
