MANILA—Two Maute rebels and two of their followers gave themselves up to the military in Maisu town, Lanao del Sur on Monday.
The Philippine Army's 49th Infantry Battalion 4 identified those who surrendered as Camar Gampong "Camar" Musa and Nasroding Comayag "Sangcopan" Patiilan.
Their supporters, meanwhile, were Badroding Gampong Patiilan and Pacalinog Patiilan Comayog.
The four also turned over several firearms and ammunition.
The surrender of the ex-bandits was facilitated in coordination with the local government unit of Masiu.
