Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was a very popular leader for attendees of the 31st Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit and Related Meetings.

In an interview on DZMM, Roque said that Filipino women in particular seem to forget about their male counterparts upon seeing Trudeau.

"Nakalimutan ng lahat ng kababaihang Filipina ang lahat ng kalalakihang Filipino at lahat sila ang tinitilian lamang ay si Prime Minister Trudeau," he said.

He also said those who want to meet Trudeau will still have a chance to do so after Canada's dialogue with ASEAN on Tuesday.

"So 'yung mga gusto pang makakita kay Prime Minister Trudeau ay magkakaroon din tayo ng dayalogo," Roque said.

Among those who had their photos taken with Trudeau were Special Assistant to the President Christopher "Bong" Go, Presidential Communications Office Assistant Secretary Margaux Uson, and Duterte supporter Sass Sasot.

On Sunday, Trudeau made headlines when he visited Jollibee, a popular Filipino fast-food chain. He also stopped by Likhaan, a women's health advocacy center, when he arrived in Manila.
