MANILA -- The improvement in President Rodrigo Duterte's net satisfaction rating according to pollster Social Weather Stations, is a "source of inspiration" for the administration, his spokesman said Sunday.
There will be "no room for complacency" even after Duterte's net satisfaction score improved by 5 points to +62 in the third quarter from +57 during the previous three-month period, Presidential Spokesperson and Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo said.
"We will persevere to undertake bolder reforms to make the bureaucracy more efficient and responsive to the needs of our people," he said.
The SWS polled 1,200 respondents from September 15 to 23, the same period during which Duterte nullified the grant of amnesty to his most vocal critic, Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV.
Also during the survey period, the government worked to stabilize the price of rice and responded to typhoon Ompong (Mangkhut).
