MANILA—A magnitude 4.6 earthquake rocked North Cotabato on Tuesday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
The tremor happened at 7:55 a.m., 12 kilometers southeast of Tulunan town.
The quake was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 5 kilometers, according to Phivolcs.
Intensity II was felt in Kidapawan City while the following instrumental intensities were reported:
- Intensity III- Kidapawan City
- Intensity I- Tupi, South Cotabato
The tremor was not expected to cause damage and aftershocks.
