MANILA - Some P14.6 million worth of illegal drugs were seized by the Bureau of Customs in Port of Ninoy Aquino International Airport, the agency said Thursday.
The bureau said it seized 3 parcels containing illegal drugs. The first contained 2,329 grams of cocaine with an estimated street value of P12.3 million. It was shipped from Sao Paolo, Brazil and consigned to a certain Johnmel Natividad in Caloocan City.
The second parcel, declared as baby suits and birthday cards, contained 204.9 grams of shabu, estimated to be worth P1.43 million. It was shipped from United Kingdom and consigned to a Joy Bido Marieo in Cavite.
The third parcel contained 500.42 grams of marijuana worth P850,000 concealed in a portable heater. It was from California, United States and addressed to Raven Delosa of Quezon City.
The BOC-Port of NAIA said it has recorded 27 drug busts since April.
