MANILA - The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) will soon launch a national advocacy campaign to rebuild Filipinos' "culture of discipline."
Speaking on DZMM, DILG USec. Jonathan Malaya said the agency noticed that most of the problems they had to deal with involved lack of discipline.
"Nakikita namin sa lahat ng programa ng DILG, laging lumalabas 'yung lack of discipline at 'yung kawalan ng disiplina sa ating bansa ang isa sa mga bagay na para bang hinihila tayo pababa," he said.
According to Malaya, the DILG will launch the campaign by November.
"Very soon, hopefully by the first week of November, maglulunsad ang DILG ng national advocacy campaign, discipline," he said.
He also said the campaign hopes to rekindle the culture of discipline among Filipinos.
"Let's rebuild that culture of discipline," he also said.
The campaign will start with a signing of a pledge of commitment between different government agencies, socio-civic organizations and local government units, according to Malaya.
