MANILA—On his last day in Russia, President Rodrigo Duterte was conferred a doctorate degree by the Moscow State Institute of International Relations.

The President also held a brief lecture there on Saturday. 

The institute is considered one of the country's elite schools.

After the event, Duterte was scheduled to meet the Filipino community before leaving Russia.

During his visit there, he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin and the international community in a think-tank and discussion forum.
