MANILA- The Philippine Coast Guard lifted on Sunday its sea travel suspension in several areas following the exit of Typhoon Ompong (international name: Mangkhut) from the Philippine area of responsibility.
Sea travel is again allowed in the following areas:
- Puerto Princesa
Sea travel in the ports of Antique and Bongao in Zamboanga remain suspended pending clearance from safety inspectors, Coast Guard spokesperson Capt. Armand Balilo said.
The PCG is also monitoring the waters in Brookes Point, El Nido, Cuyo, and Coron in Palawan.
Fair weather is likely to prevail over the country starting Monday, state weather bureau PAGASA said.
