There are revelations of a different scam in the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor). And it looks like we won’t see Nicanor Faeldon in government again. Here are the big stories making the headlines on ANC today:

Another scam
The Department of Justice (DOJ) wants a probe into the so-called “hospital pass for sale” scam. President Rodrigo Duterte said former BuCor chief Nicanor Faeldon won’t get another government post because he now works in the private sector. And Sen. Ronald dela Rosa said he should be shot if it’s proven there was corruption in the BuCor during his time as chief.

Big deal
What’s the big deal on the joint exploration agreement with China? What’s in it and how will it benefit the country? Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. will be on ANC’s Headstart today to talk about the deal and other topics.

Zeroing at Leni
President Duterte criticized Vice President Leni Robredo for her stand on police officers taking gifts. He also fired the chief of the Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission and warned a woman in his economic team is about to be fired.

The death of us
Traffic can mean the death of you, literally. Ambulance drivers said some of their patients aren’t making it to hospitals because of the traffic. The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has identified 300 bottlenecks along EDSA. And Commonwealth Ave. just might be the way of EDSA. Sen. Grace Poe and Transport Secretary Art Tugade clashed in Tuesday’s hearing on the emergency powers to solve the traffic problem. But really, all we want to hear is how in the world officials will solve the traffic mess.
