There's no stopping controversial cop, Chief Inspector Jovie Espenido.
This, as he warned local government officials of his next posting to "resign" if they are involved in drugs, in case they want to stay alive.
“Mag-resign na lang kung saan ako ilagay, kung sinong involved [in illegal drugs] na mayor, magresign na lang para humaba pang buhay ba,” Espenido said.
Espenido, fresh from the July 30 raids on the Parojinog compound that led to the deaths of 16 individuals, including Ozamiz City Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog, Sr. and his wife Susan, issued the warning during a chance interview at the Department of Justice Thursday.
National police chief, Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa has claimed residents of drug-infested areas already requested for Espenido.
Espenido also led the arrest of Albuera, Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa during his stint as Albuera, Leyte police chief. Espinosa was killed while in detention at a Leyte sub-provincial jail.
Mayor Parojinog and Mayor Espinosa were allegedly involved in the large-scale sale of illegal drug methamphetamine hydrochloride or “shabu."
