MANILA - Authorities have arrested an American national accused of pedophilia in Lingayen, Pangasinan last July 29, immigration officials said Monday.
James Austin Holiday, 65, is wanted for child molestation in Missouri, United States and has been hiding in the country since Sept. 9, 2018, according to the Bureau of Immigration.
“We will expel him for being an undesirable alien. His presence here poses a serious threat to our Filipino children, anyone of whom could be his next victim,” Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente said in a statement.
Holiday fled to Manila less than a week after a Missouri court issued him an arrest warrant for two counts of child molestation on the first degree, the bureau said.
The suspect, whose passport was recently revoked by the US government, will also be placed in the bureau's blacklist.
