CEBU CITY—The 4-year-old boy who was killed in the crossfire during a recent anti-drug raid was laid to rest at Carreta Cemetery here Saturday afternoon.
Hundreds of people joined the boy's family, as they bid their final goodbyes to the child killed by a stray bullet on July 10.
The father said the family will continue to seek justice for the boy, who he described as a funny and obedient son.
“Padayon gyud mi mangayo og hustisya, kay anak gud na nako," the father said.
(Of course, we will continue to seek justice. That’s my son.)
Children brought tarps and placards seeking justice for the boy. Others wore bandanas to express their protest. Shirts were also worn by families and relatives with the boy’s face on it.
Several Cebu City police officers have been removed from their posts following the boy's death.
