MANILA - Weather disturbance Carina has dissolved into a low-pressure area, PAGASA said late Tuesday evening.
In its 11 p.m. weather bulletin, the state agency said Carina was last spotted 170 kilometers northwest of Basco Batanes.
PAGASA said that despite the weakening of the weather system, moderate to rough seas with waves of 1.2 up to 2.8 meters will still be experienced over the seaboards of Batanes, Ilocos Norte, Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, and Isabela in the next 24 hours.
The weather bureau advised residents near these areas against venturing out to sea with small seacrafts.
