Low pressure area spotted off Eastern Visayas

MANILA - A low pressure area or brewing storm was spotted off Eastern Visayas outside the Philippine area of responsibility, the state weather bureau said Friday.

In a 5 p.m. advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said cloudy skies with light to moderate rain showers and thunderstorms will be experienced over the regions of Caraga, Northern Mindanao and Eastern Visayas.

Meanwhile, coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate.

The low pressure area was spotted 1,095 kilometers east of Visayas, PAGASA said.
