MANILA- President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed former Department of Social Welfare and Development acting Secretary Virginia Orogo as undersecretary of the Department of Agrarian Reform.
Orogo replaces David Erro who served as undersecretary for policy, planning and research, according to her appointment paper signed by Duterte on June 13 but released only by Malacañang on Wednesday.
Orogo was tapped to head the DSWD in May 2018 before the appointment of former Philippine Army chief Rolando Bautista to the department.
Duterte also appointed Aldrin Darilag as new commissioner of the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) to fill up the post vacated by Prospero De Vera III, who was promoted as chairman of the agency last year.
Darilag will serve as commissioner until July 21, 2020 according to his appointment paper released by Malacañang Wednesday.
Darilag is an associate professorial lecturer at De La Salle University (DLSU) Manila and also served as vice president for academic affairs of the St. Paul University Surigao.
