Trillanes has most number of bills filed despite poor Senate attendance

MANILA - He may have registered the lowest attendance in the Senate at the last session but Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV filed the most number of bills in the chamber, data from his office showed.

A report by Trillanes' office revealed that the opposition senator filed a total of 232 bills and co-authored 24 proposed measures.

This despite being present in only 52 session days out of 79, and going on 20 official missions.

Trillanes was followed by Sen. JV Ejercito who filed 150 bills and co-authored 30 others, and Senate President Pro Tempore Ralph Recto with 135 bills and 14 co-authored proposals.

MOST RESOLUTIONS

Meanwhile, Poe had the most number of resolutions filed with 89 aside from 36 she co-authored.

De lima follows her with 75 principally authored resolutions and 23 co-authored ones. Binay comes in third with 62 resolutions she wrote and 40 others she co-authored.
