BIR files raps vs 5 firms over P71 million alleged unpaid taxes

MANILA – The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) on Thursday said it filed before the Department of Justice (DOJ) tax evasion complaints against 5 companies for over P71 million in alleged tax liabilities.

The BIR charged Lucky Builders Center Corp., Global Trendtech Trading Corp., RAR Builders Inc., Concreteworks Inc., and Amaautotechnic Corp. of failing to pay their taxes from 2009 to 2014.

Lucky Builders, Global Trendtech and Amaautotechnic are based in Pasig City, RAR Builders is in Quezon City, and Concreteworks is in Marikina City.

Charged along with the corporations are their respective officers.

If found guilty of violating the National Internal Revenue Code, the companies’ officers could be jailed for up to 10 years and fined at least 10,000.

The companies could also be ordered to pay fines ranging from P50,000 to P100,000, aside from paying the taxes due.
