MANILA—Sen. Manny Pacquiao on Saturday hosted a dinner party for senatorial candidates included in the "Magic 12" in the midterm polls.
Sen. Ralph Recto shared the event on social media, captioned "first dinner meeting with incoming senators."
Administration-backed candidates Bong Go, Bato dela Rosa, Francis Tolentino, Koko Pimentel, and Bong Revilla were in the photo.
As of 8 p.m. Saturday, all candidates were in the top 12 of the Commission on Election's partial and official tally.
In the photo, they were joined by Pacquiao, Senate President Tito Sotto, senators Ralph Recto and Migz Zubiri, and PDP-Laban’s deputy campaign manager, Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales Jr.
Pimentel also shared photos on Facebook, in which they were joined by his chef-wife, Kathryna Yu-Pimentel, and PDP Laban vice-chairman, Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi.
The Comelec, which has so far tallied 158 out of 167 certificates of canvass, has yet to announce the date of the winning senators' proclamation.
