MANILA - Reelectionist Senator JV Ejercito voted on Monday morning in Xavier School in San Juan City.

Ejercito, who is backed by administration coalition and regional party Hugpong ng Pagbabago, was ranked 9-15 in the last Pulse Asia pre-election survey conducted May 3-6.

The reelectionist senator, who is running alongside his half-brother Jinggoy Estrada, is part of one of the most prominent political clans in the Philippines.

Ejercito is the son of incumbent Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada with former actress and outgoing San Juan Mayor Guia Gomez.

During campaign season, he came up with ads describing himself as “the good one.”

Meanwhile, Ejercito's half-sister Jerika, who is running for a seat in the District 4 council of Manila for the first time, cast her vote also on Monday morning in P. Burgos Elementary School, along with her siblings Jacob and Jake.

Jerika is Mayor Estrada's daughter with Laarni Enriquez. Many believe Jerika is being groomed to take her father’s place.
