Human rights advocate, activist Casiño's wife, passes the bar

MANILA - A human rights advocate has reaped the fruits of her labor when her name was included on the list of thousands of bar passers for 2016.

Ruth Cervantes’ name is No. 866 out of the 3,747 successful examinees who passed the 2016 Bar Exams

She is part of the batch of passers who have made history for making a record for the highest bar passing rate in recent history: 59.06 percent out of 6,344 takers.

Cervantes is married to former Bayan Muna Partylist Representative, Teddy Casiño. The couple has two children.

On Facebook, Casiño expressed his reaction to his wife's success.


Cervantes and her fellow passers are set to take their oath as members of the bar on May 22, 3:00 pm, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
