MANILA - President Rodrigo Duterte's partner, Honeylet Avanceña, led spouses of Southeast Asian leaders in a tour of the National Museum on Saturday, while their husbands were at an annual summit.
Avanceña, dressed in a black and green ensemble, posed with the spouses in front of Juan Luna's Spoliarium.
She also hosted lunch for Indonesian first lady Iriana Widodo, Naly Sisoulith of Laos, Datin Padukah Seri Hajjah Rosmah Mansor of Malaysia, Naraporn Chan-o-cha of Thailand, and Thu Tran Nguyen of Vietnam.
The menu included pistachio-coated goat cheese, essence of forest mushroom and truffle, slow roasted angus beef tenderloin, mango basil sorbet and ube sans rival brazo de mercedes.
Wives of foreign ministers and ambassadors were also present during the tour.
The Kalilayan Folkloric dance group, Reynan Del-anay, Pangkat Kawayan, and Darlene Vibares of The Voice Kids Philippines entertained the women.
Avanceña earlier helped the President welcome heads of state to the nearby Philippine International Convention Center, the venue of the 30th Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit.-with a report from Zen Hernandez, ABS-CBN News
